I try to help, where I can. As I developed my musical professionalism relatively late (look at my vita), I know many possible hindrances in piano playing and how to overcome them from my own experience. As a result I pay special attention to this issue. Hence I feel myself qualified as a piano teacher and have passionate engagement for it.
It is central to my teaching that music is not just "played off" but encompasses the physical, mental and emotional person. Music becomes concrete if the eyes and ears are open for this dimension! Therefore I always teach musicality, technique and theory in a balanced manner.
I am oriented to classical and modern (New Music, Pop, Jazz) pieces and patterns of improvisation. All exercises and pieces will be chosen according to the learning process, and it is important that the music pleases the student. Suitable desired pieces are always welcome. The wish for pianistic development - no matter at what age or with or without professional intentions - is as acceptable as playing piano just for fun and relaxation.
